It was a reply that went without comment. It didn't need one, though considering how the angel scowled, something about that response didn't make him terribly happy. It was blatantly obvious, and had been for some time, that the Machine was an intelligent being. At the very least on par with any mortal, if not above that. The idea of a mortal being trapped in a constant state of starvation would have disturbed him, and to his chagrin he found the very same feeling now applied to V1.
But then... it had been that way for quite some time now too.
The question prompted him to pick his head up, peering at V1 quizzically. Why do you care?
